1. Organiser

The Market Edge Gold Cup (the "Cup") is run by [Market Edge legal company name], [registered address] ("Market Edge", "we"). Questions about the Cup go to [contact email] or @marketedgeteam on Telegram.

Market Edge is an introducing broker. Trading accounts are provided by [broker legal entity, e.g. Star Trader] (the "Broker"). The Cup is organised and paid for by Market Edge. [Confirm with the Broker: "The Broker is not the organiser of this competition" or the wording their compliance team requires.]

3. How to enter

4. How you're ranked

Traders are ranked by deposit-adjusted return, so topping up your account never counts as profit:

Return % = (current equity − starting equity − deposits since start + withdrawals since start) ÷ (starting equity + deposits since start) × 100

5. Qualifying for prizes

To win a prize you must, during the Cup, trade at least lots on gold and trade on at least different days. Only trades on [eligible instruments, e.g. XAUUSD] count toward the lot minimum.

6. Fresh Start

7. Prizes

PrizeAmount
1st place
2nd place
3rd place
Badge Bounty (section 8)
Lucky Draw (section 9)

Prizes are in US dollars. One person can win a place prize, the Badge Bounty and the Lucky Draw in the same Cup. Prizes can't be transferred or swapped.

8. Badge Bounty

Badges are earned automatically from your trading. The first trader to unlock every badge during the Cup wins the Badge Bounty. Badges are recorded as soon as they're earned. If two traders complete them at the same time, the higher-ranked trader wins. The Bounty can be won once per Cup.

9. Lucky Draw

After the Cup ends, one winner is picked at random from all qualified traders (section 5), whatever their rank. Every qualified trader has an equal chance. The draw is made once by computer random selection and recorded. [Confirm with the Broker or a lawyer that a random draw is permitted in your jurisdictions, and whether a free entry route is required.]

10. Winners and payment

11. Fair play

We may disqualify an entry, and withhold or recover a prize, if we reasonably believe it involved:

12. Your data

How we use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy. On the public leaderboard you appear only by your nickname, with your account number masked.

13. Risk warning

Trading leveraged products such as CFDs carries a high risk of losing money quickly. Only trade money you can afford to lose. The Cup is not investment advice, and you shouldn't change how you trade or take on more risk because of it. Past results on the leaderboard don't indicate future results.

14. Changes and cancellation

We may change these rules, the prizes or the dates, or cancel the Cup, if circumstances outside our reasonable control require it, or if a regulator or the Broker asks us to. We'll post any change on this page and tell entrants on Telegram. Changes won't reduce a prize already won.

15. General

By entering, you agree to these rules. These rules are governed by the laws of [country]. If any part is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
